South Bend/Elkhart:YouScience

Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?

It’s a question facing many young people, even adults.  YouScience is a nationally recognized tool which helps identify a person’s natural abilities and interests and aligns them with current job market career paths.  The comprehensive information that comes from YouScience can drive educational decision making for students, parents, guidance counselors, college advisors and local businesses.

Ivy Tech South Bend-Elkhart is set to offer YouScience to students enrolled at the South Bend or Elkhart County location, with a primary focus on new students who have yet to decide on a career pathway.  The goal of the project is to give students “real” information, open their eyes to careers they may never considered, and chart a path to explore them.  We hope you will consider supporting this Giving Tuesday project that could truly change a student’s future and transform our local workforce!

YouScience Uncovers ALL Talent

The power of YouScience lies in our performance measures of aptitudes and our ability to connect natural talent with in-demand careers. We cut through social noise and gender biases to create more equity and access – matching users to their best-fit careers and giving them the confidence and data to make informed decisions about their futures.

Real Measures of Aptitudes

We use psychometrically-valid brain games to uncover users’ natural talents, then combine those aptitude measures with interests to generate the YouScience Profile. Within their Profile, users can explore their aptitudes, review personalized career matches, and develop affirming language to better highlight their assets in interviews and resumes.

On this Giving Tuesday, December 3rd we have a very generous donor who will be matching all donations up to $100,000.  Thank you for your continued support!
