STUDENT AID
All proceeds from today’s campaign will benefit two Ivy Tech Community College – Terre Haute initiatives, the Helping Hands Emergency Fund and the newly created Textbook Lending Library. These two initiatives are designed to help eliminate obstacles for students on their path to completing their education with Ivy Tech.
The Helping Hands Emergency Fund
The Helping Hands Emergency Fund was formally created in 2016 to provide aid for students who were experiencing a one-time, unforeseeable incident that could halt their ability to continue at Ivy Tech. Since its establishment, the fund has helped students experiencing anything from a house fire to a flat tire. Through support of this fund, you will help students manage life’s most difficult curve balls and keep them on track to graduating on time.
The Textbook Lending Library
The Textbook Lending Library will launch in January 2018. This initiative was provided with start-up funds from the Circle of Ivy. Students who are unable to purchase textbooks due to lack of aid can be lent textbooks for the duration of the semester. At the end of the semester, they will be returned so that another student can use them.
