The Fuller family started the Barrett Fuller Memorial Scholarship shortly after Barrett passed away in August 2021. Over the next year, dozens of family members, friends, and colleagues, came together to support this fund in Barrett's memory. The scholarship was created to support students like Barrett, whose passion lied in the kitchen and who had a heart for all. With the help of steadfast supporters, Ivy Tech Indianapolis was able to officially endow the fund at the beginning of 2025. An endowment means that Barrett's legacy will live on at the School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management with no end. The scholarship had it's first two awardees in the 2025 fall semester, and we look forward to seeing it impact many more students for years to come.
On October 8th, we are hosting Plated with a Purpose: the Barrett Fuller Legacy Dinner at Courses Restaurant at the Indianapolis campus of Ivy Tech Community College. August 2026 marks five years since Barrett's passing, and we cannot think of a better way to remember him then gathering his community together for a meal with a menu thoughtfully curated in collaboration with Barrett's brothers, Corey and Sean, and the students and faculty at Ivy Tech.
