Annually, Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute Surgical Technology students raise funds to attend professional development and networking conferences. Attending these conferences provides students with an invaluable opportunity to expand their understanding of the profession, engage with thousands of CSTs and industry leaders, and build connections that can directly support their future careers. Through lectures, networking, and dedicated student sessions, they gain exposure to current practices, legislation, exam preparation, and the broader professional community beyond their local environment. Most importantly, students see diverse professionals in influential roles, which inspires confidence, strengthens their sense of belonging, and motivates them to pursue their own career aspirations.
