After more than three decades of dedicated service to Ivy Tech Community College, Assistant Vice President for Nursing Dr. Jewel Diller, will retire on June 30, 2023. In honor of this great achievement, join us to help reach $10,000 to endow a scholarship that will be named after Jewel as we celebrate her!
Jewel has served the nursing program through various capacities at the Fort Wayne campus before transitioning to her role at Systems Office in 2017. Jewel demonstrated a commitment and enthusiasm at every level to supporting Ivy Tech students, practical and associate-level nursing in Indiana, and the nursing field. In Jewel’s words, “The college’s mission has resonated with me from day one. I believe in working to make a difference in the lives of others, and Ivy Tech Community College has been a great place to live out that belief.”
As AVP, Jewel has led several major initiatives, including an accreditation transition, the nursing expansion, and a multiyear curriculum revision that will decrease barriers to admission and success and position students to learn through clinical decision-making models better aligned to current practice expectations. Jewel’s leadership and vision have continued to move nursing at Ivy Tech forward, and we are grateful for the positive changes Jewel has made for our students and community. Please join me in thanking Jewel for her dedication to Ivy Tech, our team, and all those we serve.
