What is an Endowment?

An endowment is invested so that funds will continue to support Ivy Tech students, faculty and staff, for generations to come. If an endowment is invested at $200,000, and the annual investment income pays out at 4% then $4,000 will be granted to utilize. The principal corpus (donation) remains intact, so the more the endowment grows, the more annual funds become available. Giving Tuesday may be short, but the impact your gift will make will last forever.
