Ivy Tech South Bend/Elkhart - Giving Tuesday 2021

Support Ivy Tech Community College

A Brighter Future for Hoosiers

Indiana is our home. It’s where we live, raise our families, honor traditions, and create new memories and opportunities. For Indiana to thrive, we must have successful, productive, and employable citizens. As Indiana’s community college, Ivy Tech envisions a brighter future for Hoosiers in the South Bend - Elkhart region. Through world-class education, we aim to generate a talented workforce resulting in growing local economies.

This Giving Tuesday, YOU can invest in the future of Hoosiers through a gift to Ivy Tech. Your gift will provide students with the opportunity to enter high-demand, high-value careers right here in your community.

You can select from the three following options, which initiative you wish to support:

Scholarships - Statewide, Ivy Tech offers approximately 600 scholarships worth over $6 million. While Ivy Tech already offers an affordable tuition, students still benefit from and rely on scholarships to help fund their education. All funds raised for scholarships will go directly to helping students pay for tuition and fees for the upcoming spring semester.

Student Resource Center (POD 7) - People Overcoming Difficulties (POD 7) was created in response to an alarming number of students dropping courses because they simply did not have support in meeting basic needs that contribute to overall student success. Healthcare, food insecurities, mental health resources, amongst others, are barriers that play key roles in preventing students from reaching their goals. Contributing to this fund will support students by reducing non-academic barriers and increasing their chances at obtaining their personal and academic goals.

ASAP -  Ivy Tech Community College's Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP) helps high school graduated earn an associates degree in just 11 months and prepares them to transfer to a four-year college to earn their bachelor's degree.

Coursework is spread over five eight-week terms, and classes are held from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. It is a rewarding program - but a rigorous one, that will essentially become a student's full-time occupation until graduation. Supporting this program enables students to graduate with not just an associate degree, but also the skills they need to succeed in further studies - and the workforce.
