Today, individuals and organizations across the nation joined together for a Global Day of Giving to transform their communities and our world.  In Indiana, we raised funds to support our students facing challenges due to COVID-19.  THANK YOU for being one of over 1,000 people who throughout the past 30 days have paved the way with amazing generosity.  We are beyond humbled to let you know as of this evening we have raised $510,364 towards our $500,000 matching dollar goal.  This equates to over ONE MILLION dollars because of the generosity of Marianne Glick and Mike Woods!

Words truly cannot describe how overwhelmed and appreciative we are by the outpouring of support during this unprecedented time.  We will forever be grateful for what you have done to make a difference in the lives of countless Ivy Tech students, like Adrian featured in this video.

We continue to make great strides in our fundraising efforts for COVID-19 Relief Funding!  We have nearly doubled the gifts contributed and dollars raised with 450 gifts totaling $78,900!

Daily, we receive extremely heartfelt thank you notes, like the one below, from students who have benefited from your support and encouragement during this uncertain time.  For this Lawrenceburg student, just a couple hundred dollars in tuition assistance and a Kroger gift card assisted with her final payment for the spring semester, kept her enrolled in classes, and provided some groceries for a week.

Beyond Grateful - Lawrenceburg student

On behalf of all of us at Ivy Tech, we wanted to express our sincere thanks to those of you who gave early in our campaign towards the COVID-19 Relief Fund.  We are excited to announce we have raised over $42,000 from nearly 265 gifts across the state in less than a week!  Each campus continues to raise funds towards their individual goals and are providing assistance to our students in their emergency needs.  Things are ever changing, and many of our students are doing everything they can to stay enrolled at Ivy Tech. 

We wanted to share a thank you that our Columbus campus received from a student who recently received $480 in relief support towards her tuition.  This is just a glimpse of the collective impact all of your gifts are having in the lives of our students across the state.

"I wanted to reach out and personally thank you and the foundation for awarding an emergency scholarship to my account at this time. With the closure of many facilities I have lost my income and have been working towards finding a way to complete the final payment of this semester. 

 

I am so grateful for your generosity, and I hope you and the rest of your members are healthy and well. This pandemic has been a complete surprise, as is the award you have given to me. Thank you again! Not only has this award brought financial support, but it has also brought me encouragement.
