Remote Area Medical Clinic (RAM)

In effort to combat healthcare needs in our underserved and rural communities, Ivy Tech Community College, Lawrenceburg/Batesville Campus, is serving as the community host for a Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic at Aurora Elementary, June 12-14, 2020.

Ivy Tech Health Science students will be hosting a Wellness Screening Station during the RAM clinic. That includes:

  • providing glucose
  • pregnancy
  • urine screenings

Approximately 70 Health Science students will be trained and will be providing services to patients in our community as a service learning opportunity.

This opportunity will enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes in providing patient-centered care, along with ensuring that Ivy Tech’s Health Science students are competent and confident in providing safe and effective healthcare. This opportunity will facilitate learning by allowing students to apply theory to practice as they provide hands-on care.

Ivy Tech is seeking funding for the associated expenses to host this event.  Thank you for a donation large or small!
