Our Big Idea...
Four years ago two students, in two separate incidences, lost their homes to fire.
Each student came to us and said we want to continue coming to class but we lost our textbooks. Our incredible staff and faculty members pulled together to get them the books and supplies they needed, but we wanted to create a more permanent fund that would help students immediately when any type of emergency situation arises, whether that be a sudden job loss, a medical emergency, or a home fire. We wanted a fun way that the whole community could participate in, and so the 5K Monster Mash Dash was born to raise money for an emergency scholarship fund. We want to use our Giving Tuesday platform to grow the Monster Mash Dash efforts this year to ensure that no student goes without help in their greatest time of need!
