Personal Protection Equipment-Learn Not to Burn:

The welding industry is growing rapidly and there are tremendous opportunities for students with welding certifications. One barrier that prevents some students from taking advantage of these opportunities is the cost of Personal Protection Equipment. (PPE). It is important to wear proper (PPE) at all times during welding. Hazards could cause injury, burns or even death. As you can imagine the cost of all of these items can be financially impossible for students.  The cost of the PPE is $225 and we have 20 welding bays.  We would like to provide 20 students with this life-protecting equipment so they can accomplish their educational goals for themselves and their families. The cost would be $4,500.

2.         Welding Doo Rag (To protect hair and scalp)

3.         Welding gloves

4.         Work Gloves

5.         Safety Glasses

6.         Carrying Bag for all PPE

7.         Auto Darkening Welding Helmet (Once arc is struck lens

            darkens automatically)
