Ivy Tech South Bend-Elkhart is gearing up to inspire and introduce disadvantaged youth to college, specifically in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math -- STEAM. 24 sixth graders in the South Bend community will take part in the Ivy STEAM Camp FREE of charge. It will be held July 8-12, 2019 on the Ivy Tech South Bend campus. Ivy Tech faculty, students and staff from various backgrounds and departments will facilitate 28 hands-on labs and presentations throughout the week-long camp. The goal of the program is to show students that going to college is possible, that science is for everyone, and there are opportunities for those who take advantage of them. Your support will fund supplies for various labs/presentations, food and t-shirts for campers, and future Ivy Tech camps for local youth.
